Configuration Manager

Salary:  £42,460 to £49,297 plus £3,209 location allowance
Location: Kennington, SE11

Setting the configuration management policy for all outsourced service contracts relating to Information/Communications Technology (ICT), you'll ensure best practice across the Directorate of Information's Service Delivery Group and make decisions that impact on 44,000 Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) users. So you'll need to maintain a high-level of professional awareness, attending conferences and consulting journals.

The central point of contact for configuration management, you'll have daily contact with the portfolio of companies delivering multi-million pound services to us and carry out effective interviews with a wide range of people across the MPS. Identifying and analysing key issues, you'll proactively report them at board level.

Combining a detailed understanding of emergency service technology requirements with experience of ICT service Configuration Management in an ITIL service model, you'll have strong written and verbal communication skills, an influential presentation style and a good understanding of PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
