Metropolitan Police - Working together for a safer London

Every day is different - I'm never bored. We provide all the equipment that assists the police in searches for hard-to-find evidence, or to make sure an area does not contain anything hazardous before a public event, so we're making a difference all the time. And it's interesting - the work that the police do makes it a fascinating environment to be in. We don't just maintain the equipment, we go out on operations with officers and in many cases operate the kit that the search officers use, from x-ray and radar, to explosive detection equipment, even down to basic tools such as torches and screwdrivers. Also, in my section we get involved in other interesting work such as mapping of crime scenes and electronic security. It's a good environment - more flexible than my last place and I'm less restricted in what I can do because we don't have the pressure to make money.
