Strategy, Programmes & Co-ordination Group
Playing a lead role in the DoI's overall strategy development, the Strategy, Programmes and Co-ordination Group was created to ensure that DoI strategies and activities support the Met's corporate and policing aims. Utilising Programme Management Office, Business Development Office and Benefits Management teams, we steer, maintain and prioritise the portfolio of ICT programmes and projects the DoI undertakes.
The group's aims are to:
- Create coherence in DoI strategies to ensure that ICT supports corporate objectives and front line policing work.
- Enable productive relationships with customers through demonstrated added value.
- Develop, steer and maintain the portfolio of ICT programmes and projects, underpinned by the Programme Management Office, Business Development and Benefits Management.
- Adopt best practices in Portfolio Management so that the cost of doing business is reduced whilst programme performance improves.
- Increase project management capabilities through the creation of professional opportunities and the establishment of a Programme Management Community.
- Comply with information and technical standards through streamlined IT Governance.
