Around 50,000 people are expected to attend this year's Fairytales, Myths and Legends theme Pride event in Central London.
In addition to the rally in Trafalgar Square, there will be a uniformed marching contingent of Met officers in the Parade. This begins at 1pm from Baker St and makes its way through the heart of the west end, including Regent Street and Oxford Street. For full details of the route please visit www.pridelondon.org.
This year Met officers and staff will be on hand at community stalls in both Soho Square and Trafalgar Square to provide reassurance and safety advice to the LGBT community. Recruitment will also be present at a stand in Trafalgar Square to answer questions about the range of career opportunities in the Met, from police officer and volunteer police officer to PCSO and police staff.
The Metropolitan Police Service is proud to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion and continues to ensure that it is an employer of choice for LGBT people.
