The MPS's professional and support staff account for literally hundreds of different roles. From jobs for school leavers right through to senior management positions, there is something for just about everyone, regardless of skills and experience.

Indeed, there are far too many different roles to mention them all here, but the following areas should give you an idea of what's available:

  • General administration and management (e.g. Administrative Assistant, Business Manager).
  • Marketing and Communications (e.g. Information Officer, Senior Information Officer).
  • Human Resources (e.g. Training Supervisor, Recruit Interviewer, HR Administrator).
  • Occupational Health and Welfare (e.g. Nurse, Health & Safety Advisor, Welfare Officer).
  • Forensic Science (e.g. Forensic Practitioner, Fingerprint Laboratory Technician, Crime Scene Manager).
  • Legal Services (e.g. Lawyer, Legal Secretary, Library Assistant, Law Clerk).
  • Operational Support (e.g. Driver, Communications Officer, Intelligence Analyst, Security Officer, Horse Trainer, Property Manager, Stable Hand/Kennel Person).
