Metropolitan Police - Working together for a safer London

Special Constable

Special constables are volunteer police officers who play a pivotal role in the Met, working alongside regular police officers to police London and bring skills and experiences from their day jobs, whilst giving something back to London.

Special constables give up at least 16 hours of their spare time each month to help protect and support London and over 8 million people who call it home.
